Amy Sedaris
Amy Sedaris is a famous actress, comedian and author of United States. She was born on March 29, 1961, in the town of Endicott in New York. She is also called with a popular name of Jerri Blank, due to her presence from the Comedy Central television series, named Strangers with Candy.

She is also the younger sister of another famous author named David Sedaris. Amy Sedaris. Amy had passed the earlier days of life in the town of Raleigh of North Carolina, along with her family.

She is of half Greek descent, as her father was a Greek Orthodox and her mother was Protestant, she has always maintained to be a Greek Orthodox.

At present, Amy Sedaris is living in a Greenwich Village with her mini Rex Rabbit, Dusty and she is highly involved with the House Rabbit Society. Quite interestingly, as part of a running joke during public appearances, she often refers to her imaginary boyfriend named Ricky.

It was during one of her appearances on the Late Show with David Letterman on October 6, 2006), that she had announced about Ricky, being murdered and her relationship with the ghost of him.

Sedaris has also hosted the famous series titled Film Fanatic on Trio. She has also coauthored the text-and-picture novel named Wigfield with Paul Dinello and Stephen Colbert, which was published in 2003. Sedaris has also been a regular advice column writer in The Believer.

She has also other works of writing, to her credit, like a guide to entertaining titled I Like You Hospitality Under the Influence, which was published in the year of 2006 by Warner Books.

That light-hearted approach to cooking stayed on the New York Times best-sellers list for over 12 weeks, and currently has over 350,000 copies in print.

Amy has written, several of the plays, in collaboration with her brother, David Sedaris. The plays include the names like The Talent Family, Stump the Host, Stitches, One Woman Shoe, Incident at Cobblers Knob and The Little Frieda Mysteries, all of these were produced by Meryl Vladimer.

She has also co-authored the play The Book of Liz with her brother. She played the stage manager in Paul Rudnick's play The Most Fabulous Story Ever Told. Sedaris had also appeared in two episodes of Rescue Me, two episodes of Monk and Sex and the City, along with other series.

She had also played Paulie the Penis in the online comedy sketch 'The Puberty Pals'. Later in the year of 2007, Sedaris was featured in Dolly Parton's first mainstream country music video in 17 years, titled Better Get to Livin'.

Sedaris has appeared as principal Abby Hofman in Nickelodeon TV's Gym Teacher: The Movie, in the year of 2008. It was also announced in October of 2008 that Sedaris would be getting her own sitcom on Fox TV that she will be creating, writing and also perform in it. Sedaris will also guest star on two episodes of The Closer as Brenda Leigh Johnson's psychic sister-in-law.
