El Debarge, whose full name is Eldra Patrick Debarge, is a singer, song writer, music composer and instrumentalist. He rose to stardom with his role as the lead singer of the family group, "DeBarge". The mid-eighties band utilized his singing as a pop falsetto singer. The DeBarges singed with the Motown label in 1970 and brought the label a lot of success with their singing. The band consisted of four siblings and was active for almost ten years, with El Debarge maintaining a pivotal role in the group.

He pursued a solo career after the family group disbanded. He collaborated with artists such as Fourplay, Quincy Jones and DJ Quik in his solo music endeavors. He came out with some charting hits like "Love Always" and "Who's Johnny". He has five studio albums to his name, the latest having come out in 2010, titled "Second Chance". Debarge's efforts in American R&B music have been awarded with three Grammy Award nominations.

Along with El Barge, Johnny Gill will also take stage at the A Grown and Sexy New Year's Eve concert. The Washington born singer gave up a possible career as an electrical engineer to follow his passion of singing. Gills stands out for being a member of the supergroup LSG. LSG which was actually an abbreviation of the first letter in the last name of the performers, consisted of Gerald Levert, Keith Sweat and Johnny Gill. Their debut album, which featured their charting single "My Body", went double platinum. Prior to joining LSG, Gill became a member of the band "New Edition".

The songwriter, singer and actor is currently a part of the band "Heads of State". Having nearly thirty years of experience as a recording artist, Johnny Gill has proved himself as a very skilled vocalist. Although many people still believe he has never really achieved the height of fame and publicity his immense talents warrant. He has also made numerous TV and film appearances as an actor and singer. The Television series, "Family Matters" featured a cameo role by Gill.

The third performers who will be co-headlining the event is, Guy the band. Guy is also known for its close association with the soul and R&B genre. They endorse the jack swing style of the late eighties and early nineties. Guy comprises of Teddy Riley, Aaron Hall and Damion Hall. The band has seen only one change to their lineup, since it started performing in 1987. Founding member and Riley's childhood friend, Timmy Gattling, left the band after their first album had been recorded. He was replaced by Aaron Hall's younger brother, Damion Hall. Under the banner name of Guy, the band has released three studio albums. Their second album "The Future" had quite a few charting R&B hits, which led the album to Platinum status.

These outstanding performers will gather under the roof of the Celebrity Theatre to usher in the New Year with a handful of Pop/ R&B songs. The Celebrity Theatre which was established in the early sixties, has hosted many legendary performers in the past.
