Sara Bareilles is a singer, songwriter, guitarist and pianist belonging to Eureka, California. Bareilles graduated in 2002 and started singing at local pubs and bars. Her first two demos were issued in 2003 by the names 'The First One' and 'The Summer Season'. She got a role in a film 'Girl Play', in which she appeared as a bar singer and sang the song called 'Undertow'. She appeared as the opening performance for Rocco DeLuca and Burden's tour in 2004.

Sara Bareilles released her very first studio album by the name 'Careful Confessions' in the January of 2004. Sara Bareilles toured with Maroon 5 and Counting Crows in July and August. The tour started from Virginia and ended at Ohio. In July she was also honored with 'Artist of the Week' by MTV. She released DVD 'Between the Lines: Sara Bareilles Live at the Fillmore' in October of 2008. The DVD had her unreleased track's recordings as well as the live songs from her tour in San Francisco. Her first tour that started from San Francisco ended at California in December of 2008. The last performance of the tour was arranged at 'Arkley Center for the Performing Arts'.

During the spring of 2009, Sara Bareilles went on a tour again. The tour was named 'Gravity Tour'. The tour was held in order to promote her last song from 'Little Voice'. From April to May Bareilles also appeared in various colleges. Some performances were especially for the college students, while others were opened for general public. By the end of 2009, she released a special seven tracks EP along with holiday greetings for the fans. She went through major writer's block during 2009. Eventually she started getting out of it and ended up with the release of her album 'Kaleidoscope Heart'. The album was recorded with 'Sunset Sound' and 'The Village Records'.

Sara Bareilles' single 'King of Anything' from the new album was played over the radio around USA a lot during May of 2010. The song was up for sale in June. RIAA certified the song platinum the same year. The album itself was released on September 7^th of 2010. The album peaked at #4 in US. It sold more than 90,000 copies. She also arranged another tour in the support of her latest album. She went around USA, Europe, Asia and Australia. She was featured in 'The Sing off Celebrity', a. NBC television show as a judge.

Sara Bareilles considers Nelly Furtado, Christina Aguilera, Sara McLachlan Carole King and Alicia Keys as her biggest influences. Her music is known to be edgy and piano rock.
