Brian was also an early host of the Comedy Central Show Short Attention Span Theater in which he, together with his brother Dennis Regan, did stand-ups. Brian grabs attention for making frequent references to childhood. These include little league baseball, grade school spelling bees, and science projects.
The year 1996 earned Brian Regan an "American Comedy Award" for Best Comedian. His clean, off-center humor has been praised by critics and contemporaries alike. Brian is well-noted among fans to be friendly towards them.

He also embarked on a tour called "Brian Regan in Concert: A Comedy Central Live Event" which ran through the spring of 2008. That year also saw him tapping his second one-hour special for the network.
