The only resident professional ballet company lies in Nebraska is the "Omaha Theater Ballet". Omaha receives Nebraska"s important and a diverse influence on its music scene. The city has long been echoing with jazz, blues, funk and rock. Today, Latin rock and hip hop are the favorite music sub-genre representation in the city. Omaha being the home of a booming African American music scene has contributed significantly to the music industry.
Since the city has been a home of several big stockyards, it is no surprise that it is producing a number of much-liked steakhouses, including Gorat"s, Omaha Steaks and the Original Johnny"s Cafe.
