Since then, the city has been known as Glendora. Before the incorporation of Glendora as a city in 1911, the area was mainly a citrus growing locale and incorporated one of the biggest citrus packing facilities on the earth. The development of the city sped up with the extension of the railroad of the Pacific Electric Railroad Company, in 1907, and a major residential growth began by the late 1940s. And after the WWII, the city got turned into a bedroom community.
Today, Glendora continues to grow some of the citrus trees, and it basically manufactures plastics and transportation equipment. The H.Q. of the National Hot Rod Association, Rain Bird Sprinkler Manufacturing Company, along with many other major companies can be found within the city.
