Summer season in Flagstaff gets rich with many exciting festivals like Hopi and Navajo Festivals of Arts and Crafts and others. Then a very colorful events marks the new year celebrations when a 70 pound, six feet long pine cone is thrown from a roof-top at midnight. This activity started in 1999 with the marking of the third millennium. The Museum of Northern Arizona contains exhibits of native art, photography and anthropology.

The Center for High Altitude Training is present in Flagstaff in Northern Arizona University. At this venue, many athletes train here in a good environment. The center has been set up by the United States Olympic Committee. A team in the Arizona Cardinals practiced training at National Arizona University.
