Ferndale is a city situated in Oakland County, in the Detroit metro area, in the U.S. state of Michigan. It is located at the intersection of I-696 and I-75, and is at the crossroads of interstate transportation in Southeast Michigan. First inhabited by Indians, Ferndale was first settled by homesteading farmers during the 19th century.
