Commerce City
Colorado is a state of USA and is famous for the majestic Rocky Mountains, stunning scenery, vast landscape and a profusion of recreational potential.

On the whole, Colorado is an outdoor paradise especially for the nature lovers. The western part of Colorado consists of beautiful off track desert canyons with splashes of archaeological ruins of the cliff cities from earliest civilizations time.

Background Info
Commerce City is a mixed residential and industrial community. Prior to the late 1920s, this area was committed to agriculture, dairies, and pig farming. Then in early 1930s, industry started off with the establishment of a refinery and grain elevators later. In 1942 a chemical weapons manufacturing center operated by the US army called Rocky Mountain Arsenal was set up due east of the budding community.

In the 19th century, many towns were also founded in this part of Adams County including Derby and Brighton. Then in 1952, Commerce Town was incorporated after the area residents voted for it. It comprised neighborhoods of Rose Hill and southern Adams City. In 1962, Commerce Town took over part of Derby which increased the population over fourfold.

That move helped the town to gain the status of a city and naming it Commerce City. With the close by Denver International airport and the Rocky Mountain National Speedway, Commerce City is now able to serve the entire metro area of Denver.
