Details of Brooklyn and the Ticket Luck value

Brooklyn
One of the five boroughs of New York City maintaining its own personality is Brooklyn-NY. Brooklyn-NY was named after the Dutch town Breukelen was incorporated into New York in 1898.Today it is New York Citys most populous borough, with over 2.5 million residents. Brooklyn-NY is characterized distinctly by an independent art scene, s cultural diversity, unique architectural heritage and a distinct neighborhood.

Economy Therere three factors involved primarily in driving Brooklyns job market including the boroughs position as a convenient back office for New Yorks businesses, performance of the city economy and population flows.

However, strong international immigration to the Brooklyn region is also contributing remarkably to generate jobs in construction, retailing and services. Estimates show that more than half of the Boroughs locals work outside the regions boundaries and approximately 410,000 people or forty-four percent of Brooklyns employed population work in the borough. As a result, economic conditions in neighborhoods of Brooklyn generally and Manhattan particularly are important to the boroughs jobseekers.

Over the last decade, Brooklyn has benefited notably from the rapid growth of a high tech/entertainment economy in DUMBO, the steady influx of financial back office operations from Manhattan, and strong growth in support services such as computer services firms, accounting and personal supply agencies. Currently, Construction and services are the fastest growing sectors in the area.

Education
In Brooklyn, a vast number of public and private institutions are responsible for running its education sector efficiently. The New York City department of education which is also the countrys largest public school system is dealing with the educational system of major public schools in the borough. However, private schools ranging from religious schools to the elite Berkeley Carroll School are working under Jewish organizations and Roman Catholic Diocese of Brooklyn.

The city is a home to a senior college of the City University of New York named Brooklyn College. The Brooklyn College happened to be the first public co-ed liberal arts college in New York City and received top ten ranking for Americas Best Value colleges for the second consecutive year in Princeton Reviews 2006 guidebook.

Over half of the colleges students are first and second generation immigrants. The Brooklyn College campus also houses the Brooklyn Center for the Performing Arts complex and its four theaters in addition to the George Gershwin.

Tourism
Southern Brooklyn has once been the leading resort destination for New York City. In early 1900s, when wealthy New York residents would bet on horse at the Sheepshead Bay Race Track or Gravesend, Coney Island used to be their ideal destination. High-class Seaside hotels and restaurants around the island also added to its worth and attraction.

You cannot make your trip perfect if not pausing at the ducks nearby Sheepshead Bay and then dinning at Lundys Restaurant. The Coney Island became a vacation destination for the masses not before the subway was introduced. With the subway operation, the region evolved into one of Americas prime amusement grounds.

Other riders like Wonder Wheel and Cyclone rollercoaster are still operational at Astroland. At present, Coney Island is characterized for its hipster costume-and-float parade known as Coney Island Mermaid Parade. The parade is held annually in the honor of pre-punk music guru David Byrne. Coney Island also anchors the Nathans Hot Dog Eating Contest each year.
