The Peace and Friendship Festival of Benicassim is an important date and celebrates the contest of Platges Paintings of Benicassim and Habaneras Festival. Also worth mentioning is the second oldest contest in the world, the International Francisco Tarrega Guitar Contest.

Benicassim is also noted for the fact that the elaboration of the famous Liquor Carmelitano made of aromatic herbs from the mountains and Moscatel Carmelitano (sweet wine) was started here. It can freely be tasted even today also.
