Barre is a beautiful city of the Washington County, being situated in the state of Vermont, in the United States. Barre City is surrounded by the Barre town, which has a separate identity from the city.

Barre has been called the Granite Center of the World. It was established after the discovery of vast deposits of granite at Millstone Hill, right after the War of 1812.
