Swan Lake is a popular Russian ballet composed by Pyotr Tchaikovsky and choreographed by Julius Reisinger. The ballet was first introduced in 1877 at the Bolshoo Theater, and has since then been a widely adapted piece. The ballet itself consists of four acts, though this has been altered in many modern cases.
 
The story, believed to have been amalgamated from different Russian folklore—stars Odette, a princess cursed by a sorcerer to turn into a swan. The ballet’s beautiful story and intricate choreography has stirred a number of television shows and films.
