Million Dollar Quartet is jukebox musical which was written by Collin Escott and Floyd Mutrux. The musical is based on the real time recordings that were held by the most famous rock and roll stars of the history, Johnny Cash, Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins. Million Dollar Quartet premiered at Broadway's Nederlander Theater in April of 2010. After its notable success on the Broadway stage, it was take to London and staged at West End's Noel Coward Theater in February of 2011. After it closed down on Broadway and West End, an off-Broadway version was released in July of 2011 at the New Stage Theater, which ran for about a year.
 
Million Dollar Quartet is currently on its United States tour. The touring production began in the October of 2011 at Palace Theater, Cleveland, Ohio. It plans to make stops in several cities around the country. The story of the show revolves around the Sun Records Studio where the legends gathered for an impromptu recording session.
