Hank Williams was one of the most popular country music stars of the forties and dominated radio airwaves at the time. When he passed away in the early fifties, many wondered who would continue his legacy in the future. By the sixties, they had received their answer, in the form of the legendary singer's own son, Hank Williams Jr.

Williams made his start in the music industry at a very early age and was only eight years old when he performed one of his father's songs on the stage. His early musical development was centered on listening to his father's music, as well as trying to play every musical instrument he came across.
