The Book of Mormon is a Broadway musical written by Trey Parker, Robert Lopez and Matt Stone. The three writers are not only responsible for writing the book, but have also composed the lyrics and music for the show. They had previously worked together as well, in particular Parker and Stone who collaborated for “South Park”, a popular Canadian animated series. Lopez is also known for his association with “Avenue Q”. The three youngsters, however, remain unfazed and vow to bring some brightness into the lives of these people. What they do not realize is that they live in difficult circumstances—full of diseases, poverty and war—to care much about Mormonism.
